This is the song that I mentioned a few posts back - Top 3 Favorite Songs. I mentioned that another favorite of mine is I Hung My Head, a song remastered by Sting. The original was by Johnny Cash. I don't really like that version nearly as much. I have a music video of Sting's version, but personally - I like to listen to the album version of this song alone in a room. I guess it makes it that much more intimate.
Why do I like this song so much? I guess it's the loss of innocence, the power of death over life, the volatility of life (one minute perfect and pure, another minute, despairing and lack-luster). But for some reason, it just tugs at the heart strings a bit (at least in my case it does).
*There's another song after called Demolition Man.
Here's the Johnny Cash version:
I hope you enjoyed. :D
